Technology is something that requires continuous updation to meet the demand of changing world. And, when it comes to the segment of smartphones, Android developers leave no stone unturned to produce something big and innovating, which successfully replaces the previous model. From Jelly Bean to KitKat to Lollipop, and now Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, it’s like giving a complete makeover to the fate of a smartphone.

Here’s is an insight of Android 6.0 Marshmallow and its striking features, which will leave you stunned and astonished.

App permissions – Control the Apps

A complete makeover to App permission is given in Android Marshmallow. Now, you will be able to control the app and give them permission whether to access your details or not unlike the previous OS versions. It means, if an app is trying to access your phone camera, microphone or media files, the system would alarm you by saying that this particular app is trying to access your details and it will ask – would you like to allow this? It’s a big change from the current versions, wherein you have to either give access to all the services or not install the app.

Now on Tap feature – Making it more easy

This is the most astonishing feature you will get with Android Marshmallow. Now on Tap uses the concept of the smart assistant Google Now, and spreads it across the entire OS, wherein you can take its advantage on any screen, irrespective of what you are doing. You just need to long press the home button and the Now on Tap feature will analyze the type of information you are seeking. For example, while doing something on your smartphone, you receive a SMS about a movie from your friend. You just need to long press the home button, and Now on Tap feature will analyze the content of the SMS and will redirect to you the movie rating, reviews and other relevant information page.

Automatic restoration and backup

A seamless and swift backup feature is something, which has been missing from Android for many years. However, Google has finally taken a note of that. With Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, you can easily set up automatic backups that will back up apps and app settings of up to your Google Drive storage. There’s a limit of 25MB per app, and the backup will not count against the Google Drive storage limits.
